Congratulations to our 2019 overseas player Tapiwa Mufudza on his debut for Zimbabwe in Sri Lanka in an ODI match today.

Sri Lanka chose to bat first and Tapi bowled his ten overs straight through from the 12nd over for 10 overs 0 for 37 and ran out the last wicket in the final over as Sri Lanka reached 273/9. Zimbabwe were on 12/2 when persistent rain came to end the game in Colombo.

He joined another West league player for Zimbabwe today in the form of Sikandar Raza who played for Weirs Cricket Club and Renfrew and later as a professional at Prestwick and then Ayr.
