The club has received news of the Cricket Scotland regional pathway process for 2023-24 which has just started. Similar to 2022-23 the initial stage is the submission of a video and a cricket biography. After that there is a possible invitation to a face to face trial session at a regional indoor venue.

A change from last year is the return of regional age group teams and regional competitions and the re-introduction of the younger age group for girls at u15.

Note if you were involved in a Regional Training Centre or National Squad in Winter/Summer 2023 you do not need to upload videos but do need to complete the online application form as new applicants need to do.

Youth Regional Pathway Programme: application process

The 23/24 programme will reintroduce the regional competition between the Caledonian Highlanders, Western Warriors and Eastern Knights. The programme will run at the following age groups:

Boys Programme: u15s & u17s
Girls Programme: u15s & u18s

Trial Process:
The trial process for the Regional Squads will follow a 2-stage process:

Stage 1: Video and player biographies to be uploaded through the Ludimos platform using the details on the attached document

Stage 2: Selected players will be invited to attend 2 face to face trial sessions at regional indoor venues across the country. The face-to-face trials will begin after the October break.

*Please note the Caledonian Highlanders will be split into North & South training centres
*Please note any players who were part of a National Squad in the Summer of 2023 do not need to upload videos

Please ensure that videos are uploaded to the correct region and age group on the attached document. The closing date for uploading videos is now the 30th October 2023 (extended from 23rd October 2023).

Any player involved in a Regional Training Centre or National Squad in Winter/Summer 2023 do not need to upload videos. They will receive automatic entry to the face-to-face trials.

U15s: Must be born on or after 1/9/2008
U17s: Must be born on or after 1/9/2006
U18s: Must be born on or after 1/9/2005
