Each region operate a Boys' Under 15s and Under 17s team, and there are two Girls teams across the Under 16 and Under 18 age groups (Eagles and Stormers).

This process will be open for boys and girls who are born on or after September 1st in 2011 (U15s), 2010 (U16s), 2009 (U17s), and 2008 (U18s).”

“Cricket Scotland is excited to open our Regional Trials for 2026.

For the 2026/27 programme, Cricket Scotland Regional Trials will continue to use an online video process in partnership with Fulltrack AI. 

Through this process schools, clubs and players are invited to self-nominate themselves by completing the application and uploading videos via WhatsApp by messaging "Hi" to +44 7882 764581. You can also scan the QR code which can be found inside the information pack to get started. Please start your message with "Hi”.

The regional trials are open to players who currently live in Scotland and play their school and/or club cricket in Scotland.

Please note that players who have played for Regional Squads this past summer do not need to resubmit video footage.

The deadline for videos to be submitted is 5pm on the 31st August, 2026. Videos will be reviewed by our Selection Panel during the week of 1st – 4th September. After this point players will be notified if they have been invited for further assessment.

Face to face trials will take place at various location across Scotland from the 1st October-19th October, and further information will be shared with successful applicants.

"To confirm, players involved in regional squads in this most recent season (2026 summer) do not need to resubmit video footage or an application.

Players who were not involved in a regional squad this previous season (even if involved in 2025 summer) will need to submit an application and video footage via WhatsApp. "
