The link between the clubs is also 40 years old since it was in 1986 that the 'first Australian', from Wests, Mick McEntyre, played a season at Nunholm whilst an exchange teacher at Dumfries High School.

Since then a dozen Wests players have played at Dumfries, and Mick is also one of our Club's Honorary Vice-Presidents.

We hope Wests have a great Centenary Dinner this Saturday, the 22nd November. [Buy Mick a beer for us. (Our cheque is in the post! :) ]
