Introduction to Cricket Coaching course
And congratulations to Sue and Jo, Kate and Orla on completing their Cricket Scotland Introduction to Cricket Coaching course last week at a series of women only online sessions.

We are keen to encourage female involvement with us both playing and non playing.

There is another female only course at the end of March, this time for umpiring. Could you help out by umpiring in a women or girls game or a junior game perhaps? The course details are below.

2021 Umpire All-Female Training Course (FREE)
These will be 3 x Zoom Sessions led by an accredited female tutor, Ingeborg Bevers.
Thurs 25 March
Thurs 1 April
Thurs 8 April
All at 7pm (1900hrs) GMT, lasting 1-1.5 hours

This is an ECB Association of Cricket Officials Stage 1 Course
"This course is designed to give you an overview of the basic Laws of the game and how to apply them and introduce the principles of field craft and match management. It will give you the tools to enable you to umpire matches at the basic recreational level where there are no independent umpires appointed."

Looking for a 'Team Analyst'
We are also looking for Team Analysts (ok, scorers) for the women's team. Not least because "Cricket Scotland has invested in a new digital scoring platform to assist all formats of the domestic game with scoring and administration... with the Women’s Premier League launching it this year." So some assistance would be appreciated!

We also want young female leaders encouraged at the Club and at Schools.

So for teachers and coaches have a look at the new Chance to Shine Virtual Leadership Programme.

Chance to Shine Young Leaders Programme (FREE)
"Our new Virtual Leadership Programme is designed to give 11-16 year olds the tools to become confident young leaders!

The course will help them to develop key leadership skills and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Find all the resources on the ‘Inspire tab of the Schools’ Portal."
