Cricket Scotland consultation meeting on Monday at DGOne and a successful Club Fun Day and Awards on Sunday.

Successful Club Day on Sunday
We had a successful Club Fun Day on Sunday with the morning mist clearing for a sunny lunchtime barbeque with free burgers provided by the Club.

The juniors had a final game in the middle with a good turnout despite the autumn demands of other sports. The very youngest, the Stars, had another run out at Nunholm and we had another women's soft ball game including a Star transferring to guest as backup wicketkeeper.

Season awards were presented for the U13s, Women&Girls and the Sunday XI seasons and also importantly for the prestigious Dumfries Cricket Club Young Player of the Year (Nairn) and the Junior Player of the Year (Cory).

More awards details and some photos of the day can be found HERE.

Thank you to James for organising and for managing the club trophies and to the helpers on the day.

Disappointingly, the return T20 against Langholm for the Sunday XI in the afternoon had to be cancelled with the visitors lacking sufficient numbers to bring a side. #Sad

REMINDER: End of Evening Sessions
A reminder that the official weekday evening junior and senior club cricket sessions have now finished. We are awaiting hall confirmation for junior after-school sessions indoors. Dates are planned to be after the October school holidays.

End of Season Tidy Up - Sun 24th
We are having an end-of-season club and ground tidy-up on the afternoon of Sun 24th Sep, when we will definitely be needing assistance, to be followed by watching some Scotland Rugby in the clubhouse.

And remove your kit NOW please!!
You can start helping now by taking your kit home. That includes all kit removed from the scorebox by Sunday the 17th since we need proper access to store the sightscreen slats, and other equipment, and to make alterations to the inside of the scorebox.
