Indoor Sessions are Postponed
Unfortunately all our Indoor Sessions have to be postponed to restart on the week of Monday the 30th January due to the St Joseph's Sport Hall being in use for prelim exams. This applies to the junior and senior sessions across Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So the next Stars session is on Monday the 30th January, 5-6pm as usual. Apologies. We were not aware of any clash.

Overseas Cricket
Old Dumfries teammates play against each other on Saturday in Newcastle, Australia! Niall Alexander plays for Wests (in 3rd) at home against Wallsend (in 2nd) for whom Joe Clarke plays as keeper (overseas player here in 2012). Match centre here.

In the last round Wallsend overcame Josh Geary's Merewether with Joe scoring 29 opening. Niall picked up two wickets in a victory for Wests.

U19 Women's World Cup
The final Scotland play-off game takes place against USA at 8am on Friday. The side were unable to get out of the group stage after three defeats to UAE, South Africa and India. However there have been moments for a relatively inexperienced team, for example South Africa were reduced to 43 for 6 at one point, and Orla bounced out the Indian number 3, caught keeper.
