Girls Only Dynamos Holiday Camp
We are holding a free to attend Girls Only Dynamos Holiday Camp on Tuesday 4th Aug, Wednesday 5th Aug, Friday 7th Aug in the mornings from 9:30am-12pm. Watch out for the booking link to be confirmed shortly or contact Sue on 07711502569.

Senior Games
At the weekend there was a badly needed recovery by the 1s batting first thanks to a second 1s century by Munro and a 102 run 9th wicket partnership with Brocky who was 51 not out. But the side were regretting leaving overs to bat and not enough runs and too many bowling extras as Langside passed the 196 total for the loss of seven wickets.

The 2s did well to have a successful chase of 229 for 6 at Langside 2nds which was in question for much of the second innings with runs shared amongst the eight batsmen used and 19 needed off the last two overs. (Ask skipper Drew about his reverse sweep turning point and his winning 6 onto the bowling green roof with 4 balls left).

Evening Senior Training
Senior training takes place in the evening outdoors at the Club.
Senior training - Tuesdays 6-8pm
Senior training - Fridays 6-8pm [Optional and check with other attendees]

Junior Games
The U11s played at the League Cup Finals Day at Workington in a semi-final against Cockermouth and gained valuable game-time experience against a well-drilled side. (Ben Stokes, now with no more Test match commitments, was not playing for his home club).

The U16s were defeated in their U16 Scottish Cup Quarter-Final here against Clydesdale on Sunday with both sides pretty well matched. A fast start, at 62 for 1 after 10 overs, was not taken on in the Dumfries total of 103 for 8. Then, despite bowling well, any mishits did not provide catches as the visitors got home readily for the loss of 2 wickets. (We are preparing to send back the trophy :( )

Summer Junior Sessions
Our junior sessions take place at the club for the summer on Mondays and Wednesdays for boys and girls from ages 5 upwards. For the details see HERE.

Stars Sessions - (ages 5-8) Mondays 6-7pm
Blasters [U11s] Sessions - (ages 9-11) Mondays 6-7:15pm. (Games Sunday mornings)
Chargers [U16/U15s/U14s/U13s] Sessions - (ages 12-16) Wednesdays 6-7:15pm
(Note - also fixtures and practice games on Fridays from 6pm)

Pathway Cricket
Munro notched up more runs on Sunday top scoring with 79 opening for Scotland U18s at Dollar in a 2 wicket win over Northumberland. That pushed his runs for this season past 1100 having passed 1000 runs on Saturday for runs in 1st team fixtures and representative matches.

WDCU - The New Fair Play League
The WDCU have re-introduced their Fair Play Leauge for our WDCU, Saturday, fixtures.

“The WDCU Fair Play League promotes the values of respect, sportsmanship and the Spirit of Cricket.

Following each match, captains are asked to provide a fair and honest assessment of their opponents, by completing the WDCU Fair Play Assessment Form. Scores and feedback will be used to celebrate positive behaviour, support clubs in maintaining high standards, and help ensure that WDCU competitions are played in the right spirit.”
