Summer Junior Sessions - from 30 March
Junior sessions start up outside at the club next week for the summer for boys and girls from ages 5 upwards. We are looking for new participants, so your child would be very welcome to come and a try a couple of sessions for free!
Stars Sessions - (ages 5-8) Mondays 6-7pm (from 30th March)
Blasters [U11s] Sessions - (ages 9-11) Mondays 6-7:15pm (from 30th March) [U11 games Sunday mornings)
Chargers [U16/U15s/U14s/U13s] Sessions - (ages 12-16) Wednesdays 6-7:15pm (from 1st April) (Note - also fixtures and practice games on Fridays from 6pm)
We encourage new participants. So you can come for a try, and you can bring a friend too, or you can always email dumfriescricketclub@gmail.com for further information about our junior sessions, or message us on social media @dumfriescricket .
Pre-season Senior Training
Pre-season senior training is underway outdoors at the Club on Saturdays during March from 12:00-14:00. (Club bar is open from 13:30) before before adding Tuesday evening sessions at 6pm when the clocks change next Tuesday.

Club Get Set Day - Sat 11 April
Mark the date to help us get set up for the season at our Get Set Day on Saturday 11th April.
11am - approx 2pm
2pm - net/practice
3.30pm - social catch-up in the bar (watch Grand National at 4pm (possible club sweepstake)

First Games - Sat 18 April
Our first pre-season game is at Nunholm for the 1s is a friendly against Prestwick on Saturday, the 18th April.

Saturday Western District WDCU league games start on the 2nd May for 1s and 2s and the Eden Valley Sunday League starts on the 3rd May. These fixtures are on our website for the respective senior teams.
Following issues raised by clubs, a revision of the first WDCU fixture list has taken place and a new set of league fixtures was released on Wednesday. However, we have expressed your own major concerns with this latest fixture schedule for our sides and await a WDCU response.
Updated Cricket Scotland Code of Conduct
When you participate in cricket at, and for, our club (as a player, official, member, staff, volunteer, parent, supporter) you are required to adhere to the Cricket Scotland Code of Conduct. This has been updated for 2026 and should be read and understood for the new season. The document can be viewed on our website (and is attached) or the Cricket Scotland website.
Online Scorers needed
Our matches in Scotland will be switching to use the PlayHQ system this season. Do you want to learn how to score our games? We require trained scorers. Online courses are now scheduled in April. Our new PlayHQ Club page is HERE.
2026 Sports Club Membership
Members should have received an email regarding Sports Club Membership renewals which are due from 1st March. Full details can be found here.

Good luck to former club junior Chris McBride with Scotland Men in their Namibia tour which starts with the first game next Thursday, the 2nd April.

Our March cricket committee meeting took place on Tuesday the 10th.
