This Friday- Women's section drinks
Impromptu drinks on Friday (30th), around 7pm at the Club. All female players, participants, junior mums and supporters are very welcome to drop in.

Ground Work
The square has been completely renovated for next season and now just needs maintenance over the autumn and winter.

Thanks to the efforts of Davie and James on Saturday morning we have the sightscreens put away for the winter and the slats inside for the winter winds. More muscle power is still needed to move the sofas and fix the nets.

Thank you for the additional help with the ground being volunteered which we are needing at the moment.

Net Lane 1 Closed
Lane 1 (nearest the ground) is closed for use until we can examine and attend to the nets. Use lanes 2 and 3 please.

Time to collect your kit
It is time to take your kit home from the club if you are not using it for training e.g. we need more room in the scorehut to store equipment.

Women's World Cup Involvement
Scotland Women have just returned from playing in Abu Dhabi in the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers with Lorna and Hannah from our WPL side playing and Sue acting as team manager. Unfortunately Scotland was not one of the two sides, Bangladesh and Ireland, that qualified for the World Cup in South Africa next year. Dumfries Sports Club
The 2022 Dumfries Squash Masters was successfully held at the weekend with a weekend of squash on our squash courts. Well done too to our Youth Teams Sponsor James Hallam Insurance for sponsoring and supporting the other end of the age groups too with Masters Squash at our Club by sponsoring the tournament.

Remember if you are a member you can approach Willie behind the bar if you wish to use the Club as a venue for a possible personal function for yourself.
