News of the start of internal games (!!) and the 1st full week of club training sessions for All Stars, juniors, women, senior participants

Weekend Games
This weekend we go again, like last weekend, with an internal seniors training match on Saturday (1:30pm) and a juniors hard ball match (1pm) on Sunday.

The match reports, and photos, from last Saturday and Sunday afternoons are available on the website.

So make sure you update your availability here on the club website for selection for the Dumfries Dragons v Nunholm Knights and Dumfries Junior Dragons v Nunholm Junior Knights matches.

Alan Davidson and Fergus Bainbridge claimed the Player of the Match Awards in our first games back. Who is it going to be this time in round 2?

The Nunholm Knights triumphed over Dumfries Dragons in game 1 for the seniors with one ball to go. Dumfries Junior Dragons got revenge in the junior match. So it is 1-1 in the overall Nunholm Round Table Series.

Weekday Junior and Senior Sessions
We had our first full week of evening training sessions last week. So you can get back in the swing on these nights. We very much look forward to welcoming you back to cricket.

Tuesdays - U15s/Seniors
Wednesdays - U13s

All Stars Cricket
We hope to be able to welcome back even more familiar, and new, All Stars faces on Mondays. All Stars Cricket is back!

AllStars, Mondays, 5-6pm, at Dumfries Sports Club, girls and boys, ages 5-8.

Cricket Guidelines
We await today's (Thursday) Scottish Government announcements, and then from Cricket Scotland, to see what changes might affect what forms of cricket we can provide at the club.

Bar is Open for Business
The Sports Club bar is open for members to have a drink or a coffee outside or inside at the weekends. Fridays from 6pm, Saturday/Sundays from 1pm. Just follow the guidance on the notices and the one-way system though the club please.

Ashleigh Building Ground Team
"You don't know how lucky you are" Trefor announced to the U13s last night in referring to the great condition of ground. And they probably shouldn't. They are juniors cricketers after all and more interested in their newly discovered leg-spinner. However a shout out to Raymond, Simon, Trefor, Drew and helpers in keeping the ground prepared for use, and make Davie's day and give him a thank you, or even a beer. ;)

International Cricket Council Award for Cricket Scotland
Congratulations to Cricket Scotland on being awarded the ICC Europe Regional Winner of the 100% Cricket Female Participation Programme of the Year for the 12 Women and Girls’ Hubs set-up across Scotland in 2019. A special well done to Rosy!
