Winter Junior Sessions started - MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS
Our indoor junior sessions started up on Monday. They run until Mon 2 Dec, Wed 4 Dec for a block of weekly sessions in the St Josephs College Sports Hall. And you can bring a friend along.

Mondays 5-6pm Stars (5-8 years), Boys and Girls (28 Oct - 2 Dec. 6 sessions)
Wednesdays 5-6pm Blasters/Chargers (9-11/12-15 years) Boys and Girls (30 Oct - 4 Dec. 6 sessions)

New starters are very welcome. Just come along to try or contact us. Perhaps come along with a pal as well.

Women's Cricket Sessions
Weekly Women's & Girls indoor sessions are on Mondays and are suitable for secondary school ages and also for those starting out and want to have a try. There are also impromptu W&G sessions at the weekends. Contact womenscricket@dumfriescricketclub.com.

Successful RUM FEST on Saturday

Get your Kurlew Gig Tickets - Sat 16th Nov
There is live music coming up at the club in November when the 'blues music' band Kurlew have a gig here on Saturday the 16th November from 7pm along with support act Billy James.

Coaching Courses
Cricket Scotland have released dates for their upcoming Level 1 coaching courses with Level 1 courses scheduled in November.

Getting Cricket Registered
Spend a couple of minutes getting registered with Cricket Scotland and join the others from the club who have already signed up to the Scottish Cricket Registration System. Anyone involved in Scottish cricket can register with SCRS with a current priority for the following categories – Players, Juniors, Club Officials and Administrators, Umpires and Scorers.

Scotland Cricket
Scotland Men are playing a series now in the USA with ODI 50-over league games against the USA and Nepal. they have recorded two wins over USA and one defeat against Nepal. Scotland's final game against Nepal is streamed live on Monday afternoon.

Overseas Cricket
Well done to Dumfries 'old boy' Ben Warren on his selection for New Zealand Over-50s against the Aussies in Newcastle, NSW, at the start of November. Ben was a member of our 1993 Border League title winning side and a returning visitor back in the summer of 2023.

Running the Club
Thanks to Dave for attending the Cumbria Junior Cricket meeting last week in Cockermouth where part of the discussion focussed on opportunities for U11s to play next season. The Eden Valley Cricket League AGM is on Monday, 4th November, at 7:30pm in Penrith.

The next cricket committee meeting is on the 5th of November with the 2024 Cricket Club AGM scheduled for Friday the 29th November.

The Dumfries Sports Club AGM is now re-scheduled for Monday 20th January at the club.

We have provided club feedback to the WDCU survey and they aim to have a club forum in early November and their WDCU AGM in December.
