Dumfries Cricket

Scotland U18 Girls here on Wednesday
Scotland U16 Boys played Derbyshire U16s here on Monday in a 50 over fixture. Thanks to all those that were here to help. Scotland U18 Girls play Cumbria U18s Girls in 2 T20s games next Wednesday starting at 11am. Again, help to run the game is welcome. Let us know.

Girls Only Dynamos Holiday Camp
Our Girls Only Dynamos Holiday Camp is this week and is free for all to attend (Tue 4th Aug, Wed 5th Aug, Fri 7th Aug. 9:30am-12pm). It is still possible to attend the remaining day on Friday. Further details, and how to book, are here. A big thank you to Sue and Julie for running the sessions, even coping with the rain on Tuesday! And there have been newcomers to the club attending which is great to see.

Gin Fest 26 is coming on Sat 15th Aug
Our D&G GinFest for 2026 is a week on Saturday on the 15th Aug from 14:00.

Senior Games
The 1s won their home game against East Kilbride by 63 runs led by the excellent innings of 127 by Chris after opening. The 2s lost their game at East Kilbride 2nds by 4 wickets after Cory was top scorer with 57 in the first innings. The weekend club report is HERE.

Evening Senior Training
Senior training takes place in the evening outdoors at the Club.
Senior training - Tuesdays 6-8pm

Good to welcome former overseas player Andrew Mascall when he called in at the club on Thursday,

Summer Junior Sessions
Our junior sessions take place at the club for the summer on Mondays and Wednesdays for boys and girls from ages 5 upwards. For the details see HERE.

Stars Sessions - (ages 5-8) Mondays 6-7pm
Blasters [U11s] Sessions - (ages 9-11) Mondays 6-7:15pm. (Games Sunday mornings)
Chargers [U16/U15s/U14s/U13s] Sessions - (ages 12-16) Wednesdays 6-7:15pm
(Note - also fixtures and practice games on Fridays from 6pm)

Pathway Cricket
Congratulations to Cory who made his debut for Scotland this week, for Scotland U16s in their game here on Monday in a 4 wicket loss to Derbyshire. Unfortunately the fixture the following day at Wigton against Cumbria was rained off.

Macey’s Scotland games on Tuesday were also rained off but the Scotland U16 Girls two T20 games on Wednesday were played with two losses against Northumberland followed by games on Friday against Cumbria.
