Club Get Set Day this Saturday, the 11th
Help us get set up for the season at our Get Set Day this Saturday, the 11th April.
11am to 2pm (approx) - Getting the ground and equipment set up for the season..
2pm - Net/practice
3.30pm - social catch-up in the bar (watch Grand National at 4pm)
Remember many hands make light work. Drop in for an hour or two and help out. Get set; Get in form; Get social.
Summer Junior Sessions underway
Our junior sessions outside are underway at the club for the summer for boys and girls from ages 5 upwards. Thank you to this week's young helpers on Monday - Edward, Macey, Corey.
We are looking for new participants, so your child would be very welcome to come and a try a couple of sessions for free!
Stars Sessions - (ages 5-8) Mondays 6-7pm (from 30th March)
Blasters [U11s] Sessions - (ages 9-11) Mondays 6-7:15pm (from 30th March) [U11 games Sunday mornings)
Chargers [U16/U15s/U14s/U13s] Sessions - (ages 12-16) Wednesdays 6-7:15pm (from 1st April) (Note - also fixtures and practice games on Fridays from 6pm)
We encourage new participants. So you can come for a try, and you can bring a friend too, or you can always email dumfriescricketclub@gmail.com for further information about our junior sessions, or message us on social media @dumfriescricket .
Evening Senior Training underway
Senior training in the evening outdoors at the Club is underway.
Senior training - Tuesdays 6-8pm
Senior training - Fridays 6-8pm [Optional and check other attendees on Whatapp, etc]
There also remains a weekend Saturday session.
Saturday 11th April - From 2pm at our Club Get Set Day working on the ground.
(Club bar is open on Saturday from 13:30)

First Games - Sat 18 April
Our first pre-season game is at Nunholm for the 1s is a friendly against Prestwick on Saturday, the 18th April.

Saturday Western District WDCU league games start on the 2nd May for 1s and 2s and the Eden Valley Sunday League starts on the 3rd May. These fixtures are on our website for the respective senior teams.
We are pursuing a fixture swap directly with other clubs for the WDCU fixture schedule for our Saturday sides.
First Junior Games
Our U13 and U11 Cumbria League (and Cup) fixtures are on the website with, respectively, a start on Friday evening the 1st May and Sunday morning the 3rd May.

The winter training sessions are coming to a conclusion but Edward and Cory were at Western Warriors U15 training in Glasgow on Friday.

Our matches in Scotland will be switching to use the PlayHQ system this season. Do you want to learn how to score our games? We require trained scorers!

Good luck to former club junior Chris McBride who is with Scotland Men in their Namibia tour which is currently underway but which is unfortunately suffering from the local rainy season extending into April.
