Committee Meeting held on Wed 8th Sep
After a long and busy programme of cricket over the season we are now running at a financial deficit for the year. This will affect how we can approach next season.
So if it has slipped your mind to pay any match fees, the junior training fee (£20 for the summer), or indeed membership, it is your opportunity to correct that and assist the Club.
We will be looking at any fundraising initiatives over the winter. Any suggestions, and importantly help, is welcome.
Junior Cricket
We managed to have some new faces at the under-11s Monday session. There is one more Monday left.
The older junior sessions are continuing on Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:30pm onwards) until the light fails!
Representative Cricket
Unfortunately Chris (McBride) has not made the reduced Scotland squad for the T20 World Cup but well done to him for being in the frame.

Well done to Harith who played in a trial West junior game in Glasgow on Sunday with a wicket (caught cover) plus a run out of the non-striker (but perhaps should have taken the caught and bowled chance!).
Sunday Post Front Page
Sue, as Cricket Scotland President, and Nunholm also, featured on the front page of the Sunday Post last weekend and in the inside feature on the lack of women at the top of Scottish Sport. See - www.dumfriescricketclub.com/photos/987752/25499843.html
Ground work on the square
In preparation for next season renovation work on the square on specific wickets has been going on in recent weeks between games and the final stages of work by applying top soil on the square is planned for Sunday 19th. Then we hope that the weather allows the new grass to germinate (written by Ed - 'ground expert').
