There was an impressive turn-out from the Women and Girls group for the 11am session on Sunday on a dubiously damp morning with a total of fourteen there again. Match Report: Katy’s Comets overcame Niamh’s Nomads, just, in a high scoring soft ball contest. Sarah definitely took the Fair Play Award for following the rules! Niamh's one-handed reaction grab was the Play of the Day. Of course, Daisy caught her mum again and there was a good debut from ‘never tried cricket before’ Stephanie, plus plenty of energy from everyone there. Sue and Nunholm on BBC Alba
BBC ALBA made a visit to Nunholm last month at the start of September for a filmed interview about cricket and Cricket Scotland with Sue (Strachan) in her role as Cricket Scotland President for the BBC Alba 360 women's online sports programme.

It is online here (at 24:40 mins) with wise words from Sue and plenty of good footage of the Club and Nunholm, plus some montage images for girls’ and women’s cricket at the club.

"And when Mascall managed to take Musgrave's wicket it was game on". Andrew took a wicket at the weekend! PS He scored 55 as well. Didn’t win though. Come on skipper!

End of the Nunholm Pumpkin Trail
It is the end of the road for our Nunholm Pumpkin Trail. If anyone wants to take one home if they are at the club using the gym or at the nets then feel free. They should still be edible. PS The quiz for the letters on the 11 pumpkins spelled out “Monster Mash”.
