More hopeful cricket session weather plus new tennis courts by Christmas!

Autumn Cricket Sessions [including for All Stars and Dynamos/U11s]
The weather did not play ball last weekend with no weekend sessions taking place. However prospects look more hopeful for Saturday (All Stars/Dynamos/U13s/U15s) and for Sunday (W&G).

All these sessions use the net training area.
U15s/Youth Sessions - Saturday mornings, 10am-11:30
U13s Sessions - Saturdays Morning, 11:30-13:00pm
Women and Girls - Sunday mornings, 11am-12:30
You can contact the club about our Women and Girls cricket by emailing our email address - womenscricket@dumfriescricketclub.com .

And using the tennis courts
All Stars (5-8)/Dynamos soft ball (9-11) – Saturday midday. 12-1pm

Ground work
Our attempt at some time-lapse images of the post season work on the square can be found here.

Basically the square is green again with the re-seeded grass and indeed it had another cut this week as part of the winter maintenance for season 2021. Thanks to Simon, Davie, Trefor and Raymond for their hard work.

Club volunteering
A big thank you to Bio who has completed a 3-day first aid course which is of considerable help to the club.

Update to cricket guidelines
Cricket Scotland has today (18 Nov) updated their guidelines on cricket in the light of the Scottish Government announcements on Tuesday.

See www.cricketscotland.com/covid-19-return-to-cricket

With the region remaining at Level 2 and in the light of current club sessions this effectively means no change to our existing outdoor sessions.

But, unfortunately, the games scheduled for Scotland Women against Ireland to be played at La Manga, Spain, at the end of this week have been postponed due to COVID and hence no team manager involvement for Sue.
