Your Move Dumfries maintained their winning start to the season in Western Premiership Two by beating visitors East Renfrewshire by a huge margin of 258 runs. Walker and Sharpe Player of the Match Chris Bellwood hit the first home century of the summer to set up the victory.

The Nunholm side chose to bat and the openers Adam Malik and Chris Bellwood put together a hundred opening stand before Malik was lbw for 28. Another hundred partnership followed as Johnathan Van Zyl hit 51 to put Dumfries in a strong position of 200 for 1 in the 33rd over. Four overs later Bellwood thumped the ball over midwicket to reach a well-deserved hundred which included 13 fours and 1 six. However an attempt at another six saw him caught for 101. Then numbers five, six and seven kept the scoreboard moving with runs from Fergus Bainbridge (22), Wahid Jabarkhil (23) and Tommy McGrath (21) for Dumfries to finish on 310 for 7 after the 50 overs.

The East Renfrewshire reply was then promptly derailed by James Hobman who took two wickets in two balls in his second over. Alan Davidson claimed an lbw in the next and a great one handed catch at gully by McGrath off Hobman had the visitors at 10 runs for 4 wickets. They were unable to recover, and Davidson followed up with two further wickets and spinners Chris Brockwell and Callum Reynolds-Lewis came on to remove the remaining wickets taking two each. East Renfrewshire were all out for just 52 to make it four wins out of four to keep Your Move Dumfries in top spot in the league.

This Saturday the Dumfries firsts play at Kelburne, the team in second place, in a key game with both sides the only remaining teams still with a hundred percent winning record. Dumfries seconds play at home against Hamilton Crescent, also with both sides level at the top of the table with three wins each. On Sunday at Nunholm, as the only side with 2 wins so far, the combined Dumfries/Watsonians side take on West of Scotland in the Scottish Women's Premier League.
