It is 2020 Scottish Women and Girls Sport Week and the group at Sunday morning’s Women and Girls session posed for a team cricket photo for the #SheCanSheWill campaign.
And Cricket Scotland have given the club a bit of a write-up for our efforts in promoting women and girls' cricket.

Spinner Leigh (Kasperek) from Edinburgh now plays for New Zealand and is ranked 16th of international bowlers in World T20 women's cricket.
So send in any of your questions to Rosy for them and for all things covering women’s cricket in Scotland and add your cricket related social media posts to support #SheCanSheWill.
On Sunday, it was another healthy turnout and even in some sun after an unpromising forecast.
To conclude the session there were two very closely contested 3-bat games between Maddy’s Marauders and Tams’ Tigers (the group’s dogs are in vogue). The final results are both still with the VAR referees to judge if there were any line-up infringements.
However, it was a toss up for the Play of the Day.
In the end it was the Orla’s six out of the ground for the Play of the Day.
Weather permitting the next session is again on Sunday at 11am. If interested in joining in just contact womenscricket@dumfriescricketclub.com.
