Dumfries Cricket Club concluded their early season friendly fixtures on Sunday with two T20 wins at home at Nunholm. Junior player Finley Trigg earned the BL Handyman Player of the Day award for his bowling effort, on his senior debut, with figures of 3 wickets for 33 across the two games.
The first team, Vigilant Dumfries, won by 30 runs against touring side Bharat Parivar from Birmingham with a winning score of 165 for 6 wickets. That total was set up by a rapid opening partnership with undefeated scores, before retiring, of 44 from South African James Ritchie, on debut, and 32 by Andrew Dawson.
