Saturday's league games for Dumfries Cricket Club were dominated by two individual high scoring innings for the Club, and which both resulted in wins.
The 1st team, Vigilant Dumfries, won their away match with Mearns by 114 runs to remain unbeaten in Western Premiership 2, and in second place. The M Devlin Decorating Player of the Match, sixteen-year-old opener Munro Cubbon, led the way with his first ever century and was the last player out for an impressive score of 130. Dumfries set a total of 307 all out with further contributions from Max Corbett-Byers, with 32, Callum Reynolds-Lewis, with 45, and a cameo 25 by Richard Rennie.
Despite an innings of 76 by opener Sharma, that proved too much and Mearns were ultimately dismissed for 193. Munro took the first wicket as he also claimed three victims. Harrison Angel took two and each of the other bowlers took a wicket each.
