In Western Championship 2, Nunholm, Dumfries 2nd XI, won their match at Stenhousemuir 2nds by 39 runs to stay in second place. Put into bat, Nunholm set a total of 195 for 8 in the forty overs. Cory Dawson top scored in reaching another fifty with his innings of 68 to collect the Lochmaben Accounting Player of the Match award. Opener Patrick Obank contributed 29 and Wahid Jabarkhil scored a rapid 24 in the middle order.

Like the first team, spin also made inroads for Nunholm with the tactic of Sultan Kamran opening the bowling yielding two wickets in his first over to put Nunholm on the front foot. Winston Osmond also spun his way to two wickets and Ross Lamb joined Kamran in finishing with three wickets with his seam bowling. Good catches by Pat Druce and a diving effort by Lachlan Osmond supported the bowlers as Stenhousemuir fell short of their target with a final total of 156.
