Dumfries U11s successful at Penrith

On Sunday the Dumfries U11s travelled to Penrith with a reduced side. The Penrith Green team batted first and totalled 227 with seven dismissals. Sarah Cox bowled well with 2 wickets and Macey and Cory also bowled particularly well at the end with Cory just missing the stumps with his hat trick ball. Rhea had a impressive debut with just having had one training session during the week. Gregor Martin had the Play of the Day with a great piece of fielding getting a run out, and then showed great confidence in his first go batting with the hard ball.

In reply Dumfries ended with 253 with good partnerships throughout and with the loss of only three wickets. The James Hallam Player of the Match went to Sarah Cox for her bowling efforts including wicket keeping very well.
