It was nice to play against a team who were keen to play and willing to travel. Unfortunately the heavy downpour which started during the twentieth over of the match flooded the outfield and meant that Dumfries did not get the opportunity to defend their 122 for 8.
It put an end to what promised to be a good game - and a high quality, hard fought one at that. The quality of the opposition bowling added value to what was a good total anyway. Harith and Bill dealt with the pace and bounce of the opening attack. Munro produced some class and the combination was completed when Nairn and Jacob added the extras and Bethan provided the cherry on top - a boundary off the final delivery.
