Dumfries Under 13s travelled with hope to Carlisle - from a weather angle and performance. Drizzle delayed the start and unavailability put a damper on expectations. However a well paced run-chase got the youngsters home with 5 balls to spare.
Carlisle very kindly provided extra fielders to make up a full complement and Josh was perhaps our best! An impressive Carlisle batting line-up were perhaps finding runs too easy to make but Jasmine McCulloch proved that movement can be a bowler's best friend by knocking over the stumps of two of their best.
But it was the Dumfries batting that won the day. Avi and Isaac laid the foundation, Munro and Nairn did the heavy lifting and a Cory/Jasmine combination provided the finishing touches.
