Dumfries Under 13s team travelled to Langholm for their second fixture in the Cumbria and North Junior League, and again they walked away with victory.
Katy Anderson and James Hobman opened the bowling and both were immediately bowling tight lines and putting the Langholm batsmen in difficulties. The Langholm top order failed to make an impression with the scorers as Anderson picked up two wickets and Hobman one.
Fergus Bainbridge and Max Corbett-Byers were also economical as they also picked up 3 wickets between them. Aiden Goodin picked up the final wicket of the innings as Langholm finished on 57 for 7.
The Dumfries reply got off to a good start and were comfortably ahead of the run rate with openers Corbertt-byers and Bainbridge keeping the scoreboard ticking over. Max Corbett-Byers eventually fell for 18.
Dumfries continued to dominate with the bat and Bainbridge (19 not out) and Hobman (13 not out) saw the juniors walk away with their second win in the league.
Dumfries are in League Cup action again on Friday and Langholm are once again the opponents. The team will be confident of victory again, however they will expect Langholm to be wanting revenge after the league defeat.
