The Thirteens’ latest match produced their least impressive display – was Herbert Hubris to blame? None of the experienced batters could convert starts into substantial scores and the experienced bowlers seemed to lose their direction-finders!

Against an under-strength Langholm team the Nunholm youngsters batted first and failed to use their overs – all out in the nineteenth over for an under-par 73.

Fortunately the fielding was of a high standard including safe catching by the less-experienced Fergus C and Miles P but the champagne moment was the catch at extra-cover by sub-fielder Cory Dawson – not bad for a seven-year-old. The other positive was the potential evident in Fergus’s bowling and Max’s off-spin.
