Batting first they were given a good platform by Chris McBride and Gordon Lyburn and were 74 for 1 in the twenty-second over. This allowed Peter Lojszczyk, with 33, and Jeremy Bradshaw, with 22, licence to then to come in and take advantage of the remaining overs. McBride was the Saint & Co. Dumfries Man of the Match for his top score of 43 with the side reaching 141 for 8 off the 35 overs. Chris Brockwell claimed three of the wickets and Todd Raffery finished with two.
In reply Annan were initially kept in check and then put in trouble by good bowling from Mark Irwin and Matthew Currie. Twenty-one for three after ten overs put them on the back foot and it took a measured innings by Todd Rafferty with 39 to keep them in the game. But even a late flurry from Patterson could not get them to the target as they reached 108 for 7 with Irwin and Dave Strachan each claiming three wickets.
