The Sunday Development side had better luck than the 2s with the weather with another big score by the side of 211 for 3 in 36 overs at Irthing Vale in the Sunday League.
Tommy McGrath set the tone with 54 retired with Fergus Bainbridge hitting in 29 in their opening partnership. Max Corbett-Byers was unbeaten on 47 in partnership with James Little (16) and then Adam Malik 25 not out.
Opening bowler Little got plenty of swing to bowl one opener after a useful opening partnership for the home side. The other opener, Spurrell, reached a retiral fifty as Dumfries opted for spin with Malik taking a caught and bowled in an economical spell, Wahid also took one and Callum Reynolds-Lewis claimed four wickets including the returning Spurrell for 66 as Dumfries ran out winners by 57 runs.
