The Dumfries Sunday XI survived a good opening spell from Lanercost's youngster Bradshaw to ultimately prosper for an 86-run win. Max Corbett-Byers went for a rapid 31 and a sixty-run partnership between Adam Malik and Harith Hassan, with his best score of 26, took Dumfries to 118 for 5. Malik with his 50 retired steered the side up to 167 all out with Sam Bradshaw claiming six wickets for the visitors.
Despite that the Andrew Dawson Horticultural Services Dumfries Player of the Match went to opening bowler Katy Anderson as she bowled five overs for just six runs and took 3 wickets to set Lanercost back at 40 for 5. Fellow opening bowler Cory Dawson took one and Hassan bowled a good spell of leg-spin with one wicket bowled. Skipper Callum Reynolds-Lewis then spun his way to 3 victims for only one run and Newport and Malik picked up a wicket each as Lanercost were all out for 81.
