

The Dumfries Sunday XI completed a 68-run win at Wigton in the sun as the fast outfields resulted in another high scoring game and U13's junior Cory Dawson edged the Braidwoods Player of the Match with his runs and wickets.
Dumfries hit 256 for 5 with three retiral fifties. Adam Malik hit ten boundaries of just 26 balls, Ben Warren batted around his partners for his fifty and Reynolds-Lewis scored his batting at number eight. Warren supported the debut innings of junior Lachlan Osmond who batted well for 18 and Cory batted with Callum for his top Sunday score of 35. Jordan Maritz topped off the run scoring with a quick 25 at the end.
Wigton got off to a good start from openers Ward (40) and Jackson (30) until both were removed by Dawson. Spinner Harith Hassan bowled well to also take two wickets. Maritz claimed two in his first over and a wicket each went to Dave Lightfoot, Winston Osmond, Warren and Malik as the young Wigton side reached 188 all out with a couple of overs left.
