The Sunday Development side made it three Dumfries weekend wins with victory at Keswick in the Sunday League.
After a early setback in the first over the Dumfries side rallied with a partnership between Adam Malik and Max Corbett-Byers. They added over ninety runs together before Corbett-Byers was run out for 35. Malik retired on a not out score of fifty and Fergus Bainbridge preferred the boundary route with six fours in a row on his way to another 35 until given out lbw. Dumfries finished all out with a total of 180 for Keswick to chase.
Opening bowlers James Hobman and Sean Thornely then made that difficult as each took two wickets within the first eight overs but then number six Grisdale responded as he batted his way to a fifty.
The introduction of spin had an immediate result. Aiden Goodin took two wickets in his first two overs and he also took two catches off Mat Williams as he in turn spun his way to a further four wickets. Keswick ended on 140 all out for a forty run win for the Dumfries team.
Well done by the Sunday IX ('nine').
