On Sunday, Dumfries Under-16s played their first ever semi-final at the U16 Scottish Cup Finals Day at Perth but lost out to Gordonians.

A score of 39 not out from Billy Morgan took Dumfries to 83 for 6 after the 20 overs. Munro Cubbon then took two wickets and Cory Dawson one as the Aberdeen side reached their target for the loss of three wickets.

In the 3rd and 4th place play-off Dumfries U16s finished with four wins out of five in an impressive Cup run with a good win against Uddingston to claim 'Best in the West'. Dumfries restricted Uddingston to a total of just over eighty thanks to an outstanding bowling effort from Nairn Cubbon who took 7 wickets. Dumfries then successfully chased that down in the eighteenth over.
