The Club hosted 2 T20 'home' matches for the first time between Western Warriors U18 Girls and the Eastern Knights on a baking hot Sunday. Orla, Niamh and Emma were the local representatives in the Warriors side.
Two close matches resulted with the East winning game one and the West game two, and by 1 run.

In each game the West batted first. In game one the West set a total just over the hundred with team contributions including Orla biffing a twenty including a lofted straight drive for four over mid-off which she wants noted for the record.
A not out fifty by Emma Walsingham took the East to the first win with a few balls left despite wickets at the other end.
In game two a more attacking approach took the West to around 138. Nayma Sheikh and Maryam Faisal were key to that with the latter hitting an impressive first fifty.
Scotland player Katherine Fraser also hit a fifty in reply to set up a tight finish which came down to the last over bowled by West skipper Orla with a handful of runs needed. The West prevailed to win by 1 run, despite a last ball hurl at the stumps with the game won.
There were good contributions from the locals and since catches win matches Emma, Orla and Niamh all held on to theirs with the 'drop the mic' caught and bowled by Niamh the best one.
This Cricket Scotland regional series continues on Sunday with the West playing away against the Cally Highlanders from the North.
Thank you to the club helpers on the day and to the ground team of James and Sarah plus Andy.
