The School holidays have started. A reminder that our weekly evening junior sessions continue over the holiday plus we have summer camps starting next week and new girls only sessions take place also over the summer holidays on Thursday evenings.

Our summer camps start next week, from Tuesday the 15th July, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mornings for ages 5-8 and afternoons for ages 9-13.

So, in particular, are you one of our Star cricketers? Have you booked in for our summer camp for ages 5-8, which is free for our Stars Programme participants.

These are free for 2025 Cricket Club junior members and also open to all interested. However, places are limited so registration is required and can be done using our online form.

Free Girls Dynamos Sessions have started
These are taking place on Thursday evenings. It is good to see new girls at the club and we are looking for some more to join in, so spread the word please.

Sign up online for free weekly Girls Only Dynamos sessions (ages 8-12) on Thursday evenings around the summer holidays (to 21st August). The details are here.

These are open to all and free for participants, through the use of a Voucher Code, and online registration is required. So come along or do pass on the invitation to a friend or someone else who might be interested. You can view our Girls Dynamos video on facebook HERE .

Enter the Club Prize Draw for a chance to win a Car
We are taking part in the Toyota Good For Cricket Prize Draw, to raise much needed funds and give you, our supporters, the opportunity to win big prizes. The 3 top prizes are for a car. You can enter and support the club at the same time. Tickets are £1 each and bundles start at £5. The draw closes at the end of September.

Weekend Cricket
The 1s and 2 both suffered defeats on Saturday to Kelburne and Renfrew 2nds respectively with the latter losing top league spot as a consequence. Brocky took four for the 1s and Coxy took 3 for the 2s. However the U16s won their Scottish Cup match against Clydesdale by 7 wickets with a good team effort to move into the Quarter-Finals. Unfortunately the weather, and opposition call-offs, also took a toll of the junior, Women and the Sunday fixtures last weekend.

Representative Cricket
Well done to Macey who has been selected for the Scotland U15s Girls squad to play against the Netherlands in a 3-game series at Strathallan School on 21-24 July.

Well done also to Billy who played for Western Warriors U17s at Forfar against Caledonian Highlanders U17s in the Regional Series on Monday. He was top scorer with 28 in a match the West side lost.

NEWS - 2025/26 Cricket Scotland Regional Pathway Trials are open
As in previous years, the application process for 2025/26 for West U15/U17 Boys and West U15/U18 Girls starts with submitting a trial video before any face-to-face trial. Each player can submit a maximum of 2 x 2-minute videos.

NOTE: Any player involved in a Regional Training Centre or National Squad in Winter/Summer 2024/25 does not need to upload videos. They will receive automatic entry to the face-to-face trials.

The final date for applications and uploading videos is the 29th of August 2025. Full details are HERE (psw: Scotland)

Celtic Cup here at the start of August
A reminder that we are hosting the Celtic Cup, this year between Scotland U15 Boys and Ireland U15s once more, across the first week in August (matches Mon 4 Aug to Fri 8 Aug). We will be soliciting for some help nearer the time.
