Nairn debuts for Scotland U19s; maiden Club fifties for Liam and Finley on Sunday; plus news of Free Girls Only Dynamos sessions.

NEWS Free Girls Dynamos Sessions - from 3rd July
Sign up online for free Girls Only Dynamos sessions (ages 8-12) on Thursday evenings around the summer holidays (3rd July to 21st August). The details are here. These are open to all and free for participants, through the use of a Voucher Code, and online registration is required.

Cricket Summer Camps
News of our Cricket Summer Camps for ages 5-8, and ages 9-13 can be found here. These are free for 2025 Cricket Club junior members and also open to all interested. However, places are limited so registration is required and can be done using our online form.

Weekend Cricket
Yet more rain. The 1s game was eventually abandoned on Saturday with Al and Fergus on 12 for 0 wickets after 4 overs against GHK at Nunholm. Unfortunately there was no 2s game. The Sunday XI were defeated at Lanercost but there were maiden Club fifties for Liam and Finley. The U11s learnt a bit more on Sunday, also at Lanercost, to make the U13s 7 wicket win, again at Lanercost, and the combined women's side 238 run(!) win over RHC the victorious sides at the weekend. Our Club report is here. And the young Colts side was defeated by 4 wickets on Wednesday at Kingholm. [Colts 106ao Lachlan, Sultan were 25plus retired. 2 wickets to Finley and Lleyton]

Past Players Day on Saturday
It was Past Players Day at the Club on Saturday, albeit dampened and affected by the rain which forced the abandonment of the 1s game at home. It was held by our Dumfries Cricket Trust, which supports local cricket development and the club's sessions in schools. Women's Cricket
In the Women's Premier League the Watsonian/Dumfries side set a monster total on Sunday of 345 for 1 in 30 overs against RHC Lynx at Craiglockhart in Edinburgh. Scotland player Megan McColl hit 217 not out off 102 balls and was assisted by Niamh with 71 not out off 49 balls. Orla and Macey each took a wicket in the reply of 107 all out with the side equal top of the league with SMRH and who they play next Sunday!

Representative Cricket - Various
Western Warriors U17s: On Sunday, Nairn and Munro played for Western Warriors U17s at Livingston CC in a close three wicket defeat to the East in the U17 Regional Series with Nairn opening the West bowling to take three wickets and Munro keeping wicket!

Western Warrions Girls U18s: On Saturday, Macey and Jasmine were also playing at Dollar in a Regional Girls game for Western Warrions U18s against the East where the match was abandoned after the East first innings.

Scotland O50s Masters Cricket: Pat played for the Forty Club's Scotland O50s side at the weekend against England O50s at Bath on Sunday and Wales O50s on Monday at Abergavenny with 15 not out there.

Scotland U19s & Scottish Universities: A Scotland U19 debut for Nairn on Wednesday where he opened the bowling with 1 for 36 (his wicket was Jono caught for 34) and a cheeky 19 not out in a 41 run final wicket partnership.

Also a past Scotland U19 player, Hobbo took 3 wickets for 32 in game #1 the previous day for their opponents Scottish Universities.

Durham County 2nd XI: Chris made appearances for Durham 2nds in two T20 County fixtures in the past week scoring 27 not out off 14 balls against Derbyshire and hitting the winning 6. His three very different 6s and one four can be viewed here. And it was a not out 2 against Yorkshire.

Scotland Men: Chris is in the Scotland Men's squad for the T20 series against Netherlands and Nepal which starts at Clydesdale CC on Sunday with Scotland versus Netherlands.
