Weekend Cricket
The 1s persisted to come back in the bowling innings and the batting innings on Saturday to lose to second place Ayr by 29 runs in the end. The 2s won at East Kilbride despite an late order 66no getting the home side near with an 11 run win the final result. Lachlan hit his first fifty for the 2nds. A young Sunday XI put in a good team effort but lost at Wigton.

This weekend the 1s play their final league fixture of the season away in Glasgow and the 2nds play their penultimate league game at home. Good luck to the U15s who are away on Sunday for another attempt to play the Cumbria League Cup Final and a younger junior team travel to have some fun at Galloway.

Junior Evening Sessions
A sunny session saw some twenty nine juniors, Stars and Blasters, here on Monday with the local schools back. Some familiar faces returned after their holidays and there were some new faces via Girls Dynamos and our Summer Camps.
Bye to Ben
We are saying goodbye to Aussie Ben who sets off back home down under to New South Wales on Monday. So wish him a safe trip home before then if you can. Thanks for all your help Ben. We were told you would be a good club man and you certainly have been.

Girls Festival - Sun 14th Sep
There is a Cricket Scotland Girls Festival taking place in Glasgow (Clydesdale CC), on Sunday 14th September, to which our girl cricketers are invited. "the festival is open to all girls aged 5–13 who are keen to play cricket, whether they’re completely new to the game or already involved in the Cricket Scotland Funded Girls Dynamos programmes".
