Coming up for all from our Stars juniors to the Sunday team stalwarts. Our 2026 Club Awards are taking place on Saturday afternoon, the 5th September.

1:30-3.30pm - Mixed Junior Game
2:30-3:30pm - Stars Fun and Games
3.30-4.30pm - Junior Awards
4.30-6pm - Senior Awards
7:00pm - Sports Club 50th Anniversary Bash

Senior Games
Both the 1s and the 2s finished their Saturday league games with defeats against their respective opponents from Hillhead. Sultan top scored with 78 at Hillhead 2nds and Bevo hit a fighting lower order fifty here for the 1s. Our report for the weekend is here.

However, both Saturday sides finished creditably near the top of their respective league tables in Premiership 2 and Championship 2.

The 1s dropped a place from third to fourth after Saturday and the 2s finished second in a competitive division in which any side could beat another on the day.

The Sunday fixture against Lanercost was unfortunately called off due to the change in the weather and our final game on Sunday against Appleby has been cancelled.

Summer Junior Sessions
Our junior evening sessions come to an end for the summer with the final Stars session on Monday the 7th September, having started outside back on the 30th March. The sessions resume indoors but with those indoor dates yet to be finalised.

There is an additional Stars session (2:30-3:30) on Saturday before the Junior Club Awards and a game for the other juniors is scheduled from 1:30-3:30.

There was another good turnout on Monday for the Stars and Blasters sessions. Many thanks go to all the coaches and assistants for supporting all the junior sessions over the summer season.

A Memorial Seat for Mac
A Memorial Seat for Mac Creedon, donated by his family, is now in place at the boundary edge under the two cherry trees by the entrance and that was marked by a get together recently as described here.

Well done to Niall
Congratulations to former junior and 1st team player Niall (Alexander) on picking up another trophy with Heriots this season and being very instrumental in their win in the 2026 Scottish Cup Final last week.
