Weekend sessions continuing; trophies on the tennis court; and squash permitted for u18s.

Autumn Cricket Sessions
There were good turn-outs last Saturday, considering the weather prospects, for the youth and u13s sessions.

Plus we had an encouraging record number at a women and girls soft ball Sunday session (16), and that included 4 mother & daughter combos. So think about coming along to have a try.

The weather looks ok for the weekend still. All these sessions use the net training area.
U15s/Youth Sessions - Saturday mornings, 10am-11:30
U13s Sessions - Saturdays Morning, 11:30-13:00pm

Women and Girls - Sunday mornings, 11am-12:30
You can contact the club about our Women and Girls cricket by emailing our email address - womenscricket@dumfriescricketclub.com .

Training sessions for December have been added to the website. Register to view and you can also indicate if you are available.

All Stars and Dynamos sessions paused
With the tennis courts now being re-laid, which is great news, the All Stars(5-8) and Dynamos (9-11) soft ball Saturday sessions on the courts are unfortunately paused. We will restart sessions in the new year. Please keep an eye here on the website or on on social media for updates.

Cricketers on the Courts (Tennis courts)
Well done to Bevo on winning a Tennis Club Championships Singles title on Sunday in a marathon game. You can read about his exploits and the other cricketers with their finals' successes here

Sports Club News
The big news, of course, is the re-laying of the Tennis Courts. The tennis courts are being re-surfaced and this is now starting on Monday 30th November (updated) and is scheduled to take up to 3 weeks and so will be ready for Christmas.

That is after the recent news about the required £80,000 finally being raised to carry out the re-surfacing of the courts. Thank you's to all funders, Holywood Trust, ANCBC, SWEAT, Dumfries Sports Club and all who donated via the Tennis GoFundMe page.

Overseas cricket
Pakistan
News from Lahore. Adam (Malik) has settled in and is now training five days a week, including individual sessions, at his Cricket Academy there.

New Zealand
Andrew claimed a win as skipper at the weekend for Cadets CC. And all-rounder Mascall (here in 2018) "stepped it up a notch" with 33 off 21 balls and took a vital wicket when bowling.

And of interest is that Matthew, the younger brother of Chad Breetzke who played here in 2011, is currently playing in the South African 4-day franchise series for Warriors and has hit a fifty opening in the first innings.
